Tournament Structure and Staff


This may appear a long post but it is intended to be informative as to the tournament structure and where everyone fits in so please do read it all.

BC Staff who are we and what do we do?

Recently added for long service and dedication is:

We are the 2 of the 3 original founders of the Battlefield-Command Tournament.

Izz was the 3rd Founder but passed away and is greatly missed.

We all met whilst playing at 21CW, a tournament for BF1942 (Desert Combat) and BF2, were we became good friends.
The game servers were based in the US and after a number of years of poor ping's, we decided to set-up a European based tournament - In 2004 EBC was born.

Jery owns and operates the web site and Battlefield-Command.


BF3 Tournament Staff

The Tournament Staff consists of the following

Robboscity

Their daily tasks include assigning new sign ups to the Divisions.
Maintaining the game server.
Helping any members who are having problems signing in or connecting in any way.
Listening to member’s ideas and trying to find new ways to improve your experience here.
Some things that will never happen though, WE will NEVER give control of the servers or main tournament infrastructure to a 3rd party. So please do not ask us to do so.
We are always open to Players suggestions and requests.
Please bear in mind however that as this is a new first time experience for many of you in tournament play, we have years of tournament play experience.

Funding
EBC is totally funded by donations from our members.
Infrastructure
Our Web Space and Forums are operated on a PHP / VBulletin platform
We operate 1 game server at present.

The Tournament Structure

When we were discussing the make up and rules of the tournament we took the decision that Tournament Admins should remain neutral, not join a side, and to appoint Generals to run the Divisions
We have provided the tournament with the Structure and Rules but do not interfere with the Day to Day running of the two Divisions. This is solely in the hands of your officers.
This includes everything from Training to attendance and Ranks.
We assign the Players upon initial sign in from then on it is the divisional officers who take over.
There are 2 Divisions [RUS] and [US] As examples.
The basics of a tournament is that these 2 Teams although working together and playing together are separate from each other when it comes to training and battles.
For this reason TEAM BALANCE will not be in effect during battles.
It may seem a little harsh at times when one team has the lower numbers IT is however the way it has to be. We will assist either division on getting their numbers up, All we can do really though is to assign a greater number of the new sign ups to whichever team is low, We expect both divisions to work together to ensure a good attendance and fun time for both.
It is however against the rules for players to play for the opposing team during battle without permanently transferring.
