European Battlefield command is a free online tournament.* It was founded in 2004 and is based on the battlefield series. New campaigns will feature Battlefield 3.
EBC is loosely based on a military structure. This includes ranks and awards which are separate from those stats you find in game.
"What is a tournament?"
Not to be confused with gaming leagues and clan matches, We offer a place to play in a competitive, organised, and most of all, a FUN filled environment.
"How does it work?"
A campaign is started for a planned number of battles (maps). These battles are played once a week and last for four hours. A campaign can last 7-10 weeks depending on how many maps are selected.
Campaigns are played in conquest and rush game modes on our own private server.
Once the campaign is announced, Members will sign up to play that campaign.
Members will then be allocated a team (we call them Divisions) Blue or Red by our admin staff.
"What next?"
Both Divisions have 4-5 Companys (squads) were you will be placed. This is were you will play for the whole of the campaign.
Each Company has a Captain who is responsible for training and command during the weekly battle.
"You said ranks and awards?"

You will receive the rank of Private when you join and with your dedication through training and teamwork in battle you will be recommended for promotion. Medals will also be awarded throughout the campaign.
"How often do I have to play?"
That's up to you.
The more you play and contribute, the better the chances of promotion and awards, but ultimately the more FUN you will have playing with an organised team.
